The Silent Problem No One Is Addressing

Visual hydration assessment miss 70% of dehydrated workers, athletes, or team members.

Urine testing creates privacy nightmares and hygiene issues.

By the time someone shows symptoms of dehydration, they’ve already been underperforming and increasing their risk of injury.

Bottom line: It’s a challenge trusting traditional testing methods when performance and safety are on the line. We help remove that doubt.

Why Saliva Osmolarity Testing

Salivary osmolarity (SOSM) is the concentration of particles, predominantly electrolytes, per liter of saliva.

Multiple studies, as well as our own research, confirm that SOSM measurements are an effective predictor of hydration status.

Based on our research, we believe hydration testing by measuring SOSM is the most effective, convenient, and meaningful approach for measuring hydration levels in workers, athletes, and military personnel.

This allows users to analyze and act on hydration measurements rapidly, and easily perform long-term analysis to identify conditions where greater focus should be placed on hydration.

However, saliva osmolarity testing has always been performed in a lab setting until now.

We Have The Solution: Portable Lab-Quality Testing

We launched in 2017, with a single goal…

How do we put an expensive, high-end $20,000 osmometer in the palm of your hand?

We knew the power of saliva-based hydration testing, yet no one had a solution outside the lab. This is what spurred our idea to create the MX3 unit.

What results can you expect from a portable device?

Our handheld MX3 is measured to deliver 95% accuracy. (Reading measurement, R² = 0.95.)

As you can see, not only did we deliver the same lab quality  found in electrochemical sensors, same pin-point accuracy, and same reliability of lab-grade equipment.

We put the power of this saliva-based technology in the palm of your hand so you can test your entire team or workforce no matter how remote the environment.

So Simple, Anyone Can Use It

No complicated training required. No disrupting your workforce or team. No losing practice time or man hours.

Here’s how easily you can get actionable feedback:

One: Turn on the device

Two: Insert test strip

Three: Tap strip on tongue

Wait for beep (2-3 seconds)

– Device confirms saliva has been collected

Four: Get Results

Wait for second beep (8-9 seconds)

– Testing is complete and results will appear

That’s it. Your maintenance worker, foreman, athletic director, or safety manager can test an entire crew or team in minutes. No special skills. No complicated procedures. No time lost from productive work or training.

Real deployment: Teams are using the MX3 effectively within hours of receiving the device. Not days. Not weeks. Minutes.

US Air Force Validates Our Claims

When the military validates technology for soldier health, they don’t accept anything less than perfect. I’m sure you’d agree the Air Force conducts some of the most rigorous third-party studies available.

What did they have to say about the MX3 after careful analysis?

MX3 is accurate in its estimates compared to a laboratory grade osmometer.”

We've Virtually Eliminated Heat Stress Incidents

“Not one recordable injury due to heat illness”

Since we started using MX3, the US Incinerations Group has not had one recordable injury due to heat illness….. This technology has greatly improved our ability to show our employees that safety is truly our number one priority.”

“Best heat-stress and hydration tool out there”

“I’ve been using the MX3 on minesites, remote exploration and construction sites for around 5 years now. It’s easily the best heat-stress and hydration educational tool out there. I’ve seen workes convinced, clients convinced and it’s benefits extend far beyond work into sporting activities and improving personal health issues. In safety terems, I have seeen dramatic reductions in heat related issues across Western Australia when MX3 programs have been rolled out.”

“We’re impressed with its (MX3) impact”

MX3 has helped us engage our workforce and improve their hydration awareness. Since its introduction, more people are consuming more water. MX3’s measurable results have allowed us to take action on our hydration strategies. We’re impressed with its impact and excited to continue using it to promote healthy habits.”

Health & Safety Rep, Olympic Dam Mine

“Instant results… Female-friendly”

“Historically we have used urine testing for hydration which, given the environments in which we work, was less than ideal.

As a company wanting to attract women to the industry, we needed to look at options available to ensure processes are and can be followed. The decision to use the MX3 in place of the standard refractometer was a direct result of our commitment to safety.

Most importantly it is a simple piece of equipment to use. This is a huge plus as pushback and reluctance to use it has been non-existent. It can be used by males and females alike without the privacy concerns of attempting to collect a urine sample on a drill pad.

The number that it generates is a true representation of the individuals state of hydration. Instant results to both the individual and the dashboard equips us to understand and adjust this critical factor.

Having a control in place  that allows for instant actionable management of individuals hydration levels is a game changer.”

OHS Manager, Top Drill

” Useful for measuring hydration levels”

We are only just starting to use the MX3 but have found it useful for providing indication of hydration levels. The training within the mobile app is really helpful.”

The numbers: 7,000,000+ million tests worldwide. Zero heat-related incidents across deployments.

The Reality: MX3 Can Save Lives

We’re not just preventing workplace injuries. We’re helping you catch dehydration before it’s an issue. Before someone collapses. Before the ambulance arrives.

For the first time, you can be proactive without worrying about added complexity or lost time.

Your workers and team deserve to go home safe every day. This technology makes that possible.

We know because we’ve seen the data. We’ve eliminated incidents. We think we’ve already saved numerous lives.
